I don't know if you guys were at the baseball game vs Nicholls State last night but Bogey fouled off an absolute bomb down first base side that I swear was longest ball I can remember being hit at Turchin. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that had the ball been fair, it would have gone OVER Rosen house. He also seemed to be running aggressively so I'm hoping that the hamstring business is behind him. Not a moment too soon. Getting him back in the line up now is great so he can shake off any rust from sitting out and be peaking when we need it. Should be a great series this weekend against the Cougars.

I was there and it was definitely over the building, an absolute MONSTER shot.

Also, I commented on how great it was to see him accelerate through first base and stretch a single into a double in the 5th inning. This is a VERY dangerous team.

The game on Friday is huge. Farrington v Owings If we win Friday, and I like our chances, I think we have a good chance of winning all three. I always enjoy when the Cougs come to town for baseball. Their fans are very knowledgeable and a lot of fun, and the games are always competitive. Think about it, until USM won a CUSA title in '03 it was always TU or UH at the top of the heap. Should be a lot of fun. 04-cheers

I saw the same thing. He was rounding first checking out what the defense was doing and when he saw that the ball hit the wall and he had an opportunity, he hit the afterburner. Sweet. All I could think of was, "Bogey's back".

I agree with your comments re-Houston as well. MAn there was a time when it was us/them, and then everybody else. What a great program. I hope they get it back on track (except for this weekend). You know they're going to bring it against us. They always do.
