No, don't see him leaving. But if he does, John Groce is out there now, and will be the next coach.

And, picking up our 20th win is signifcant for the history of this program.

If he got a better job offer he would leave. I think if he improves again next year he might get some attention but y'all should be fine this year.

CIT observations.....

1) It's obvious Ryan Kemrite would have averaged 30 a game if he'd only cut that man bun off before the season.

2) I was astounded by the crowd at the Vines on FB Live. The announced attendance was 7 people but that was gracious. I think I counted more like 4 people actually in the stands. Way to support your Flames in the post season.

I saw the attendance listed at like 574 or something and I was hoping it was a typo but afraid that it was true. We really need to get the students involved. I know the season games are/were free for students but I believe these tournaments are not. But that's no excuse; we should create an atmosphere for these games.

Spring break

Medic speaks the truth. It looks like we will probably host a 2nd round game this coming Monday when I randomly am in town with my family on a spring break road trip. I suspect we will have a great crowd that night. If it winds up being over the weekend, we'll have another stinker turnout.

I hope they don't match us up against Campbell or UNC Ashville.

It's unfortunate our game was over spring break but I am guessing that doesn't effect schools with better basketball prestige/brand. It's something we need to build towards and hopefully our athletic department can do that.

Winning consistently sprinkled with the occasional name brand opponent at the Vines with help out.

Every D1 school in America has seen declines in attendance to some degree. Kids today have different priorities than when we went to school. But I agree that Monday night that our numbers should be higher if for no other reason that I'll be their with my crew taking up five seats after driving in from Texas.

How do we get to host? Missed the qualification for that ability.

This is a pay-to-play tourney. Hosting generally is based on whoever the tourney organizers feel will give the most bang for the buck. They will re-seed the tourney after tonight's finl opening round games. Based on results to his point, I suspect we may have UMBC coming to the Vines.

They are playing St Francis I think

We are playing Samford on Monday. That's a good matchup. Looking forward to it. I think they are 20-15.

Samford is a good team. That will be a rough one.
