Considering the Big 12 is getting paid for 12 teams and sharing it with 10, the pay-out should be more than larger leagues.
The reality is the Big 12 business model is busted. It mortgaged it's future for the a few bucks more a team by refusing to expand with more than two in 2011. When the Big 12 decided Louisville and Cincinnati "didn't move the needle" The Big 12 hurt its stability.
Louisville jumped to The ACC and conference expansion ended. The ACC signed a GOR, extended and got a network.
All while the Big 12 waited for Clemson and Florida State to jump to the Big 12.
Hopefully the Big 12 will do the right thing and expand with Cincinnati, Houston, Memphis and others next week. Knowing the Big 12 they won't though

the Big 12 is not getting paid for 12 teams with only 10 teams
only those that have no clue about anything think this
the Big 12 contract with Fox was signed as a contract with the Big 12 having 10 teams
the Big 12 contract with ESPN was signed in Sept of 2012 when the Big 12 had 10 teams including TCU and WVU and at that time Fox also agreed to pay a bit more to get better selections
the Big 12 contract with the Sugar Bowl was signed when the Big 12 was 10 teams
so all of the major money the Big 12 makes comes from contracts that were signed when the Big 12 was 10 teams including with TCU and WVU
only someone that is totally clueless would claim the Big 12 is getting paid for 12
and the agreement in the contracts to pay the Big 12 for a CCG even with less than 12 teams was also a part of the contract signed in Sept of 2012
so your claim is totally and completely 100% false and just a total lie and BS based on complete ignorance of reality
