It's almost as if a national election is more important than a football season. Strange, huh.

Well of course it is. But that's not what my comment was about. It's more about some of the people I went to school with who just lost their first election since they were old enough to start voting and some of them do not yet posses the maturity level to handle it in a reasonable manner. Maybe it's caused by too many participation trophies?

It's easy to look down your nose and be critical of losers when you're on the winning side of the table.

Also, I'm not sure this is entirely a normal situation, where one could expect things to be business as usual after an election. Sure, extending olive branches and trying to unite was the norm when the opponents were Romney and Mccain (emphasis on try, because the same criticisms you have were definitely present throughout Obama's entire 2 terms), but Trump is a different situation altogether.

I think we're misunderstanding each other here. I'm not looking down on anyone. I understand people are going to be upset. I wasn't happy about how the last two presidential elections turned out, but I didn't go around calling people names and cussing people out like I've seen a handful of people do. I'm simply saying the way they're handling things is not acceptable behavior in my opinion. With that said, I haven't even called them out on their behavior at this point, but rather decided to stay out of it and let them be.

I will say that I am pleased that people here have remained civil including you Kruciff. 04-cheers

RE: OT: Election Day 2016
I posted the following status on my Facebook page regarding the results of the election. I hope many will take some time to reflect on what happened. Anyway, here's the post.

"Well, I guess I'd better tell people who I voted for: I wrote in Evan McMullin. I didn't trust either Trump or Hillary.

"But that's not the point of this post. Instead of gnashing my teeth, I will pray for our newly elected President. I will pray that he will be better than I believe he will be. I will continue to put my faith in God and pray that our country gets back on the road that is the Constitution. Remember: Our enemies know we are weakest when our people are divided. We must UNITE and pray for God's guidance and wisdom.

"This is my prayer: Father, I put my faith in you. Let Your Will be done. I pray you put Your Healing Hand on our broken land. I pray you put Your Hand on Washington, DC, and show Your Wisdom to our leaders, both current and newly elected. And I pray that our leaders have open eyes and open hearts, and that they are willing to seek Your Wisdom. In Your Son Jesus Christ's Name I pray, Amen."

May God Bless You, and May God Always and Forever Bless the United States of America.
