Just a little mistake
That's the breaks of the game......the ref made a mistake but they make mistakes in every game. When he blew his whistle and then came running in to end the play he completely thought Worth still had the ball......he didn't see the ball was going the other way......when he did, you could see the amazement on his face.......he still thought Worth had it in the pile. I am a little surprised the review official didn't over turn it.......but that's life.

RE: Just a little mistake
Two mistakes in the critical moments that allowed Navy to win. (1) Of course the Brubaker obvious takeaway/fumble recovery. Not recognizing that was a huge blunder and should be reviewed by the AAC head of officials. But just before that, (2) the Navy player that went out of bounds and the official who should have given the "stop clock" signal did just the opposite and kept the clock runniing (a circular one arm wave). I was listening to Bruce on the radio and he saw both those referee mistakes. In the last minutes of the game, that should never happen and the officials this year have made some big blunders against us. The Houston "12 defenders" comes to mind.

In spite of that, we played a terrific game and are still a terrifc team that will be bowling very soon. But it would have been nice to get that victory and get the extra chamce to win the league in a title game.
