I'm not so sure about lil bro.

He seems to well traveled for my taste. I hope family bonds don't jack the 'jcikskys like they did TU with Coach Phillips. I know Phillips wasn't really family but it was pretty close. Familiar ties can paint some woeful lies.

It could go either way. It worked out pretty well for the Stoops at OU, though.

All early indications are that the Wojciks are solid character guys and respected college coaches. I think it has a pretty good chance of success. We'll see...

I can't begin to imagine the brothers producing anything worse than what we've had the past 2 years.

If the individual workout that took place yesterday and was observed in part by someone better looking than I is any indication, well, let's just say he'll be just fine.

Yes. He did. He was also invited to participate in individual workouts, as well as pick up which should be starting soon.

After what he said after observing yesterday, I don't anticipate him "feeling good" after any workout with this staff. 03-wink Well, maybe on game day.

Sounds like a good start TUfan.

Thank you for that information.

It's a good thing some coach is here, because it could very easily be over a month between the time Coach WOJ was hired and he actually goes to work as Tulsa's coach. The good start it looked like we had with JP resigning in Dec is turning into getting a very late start, especially if he was going to find any JUCO for immediate help. As I said before, I don't think Coach Woj is too interested in next year, in terms of a quick turnaround, any wins over nine, like 10-12, appear to be the immediate goal-- hopefully. From what I have been told recently, Coach W is VERY big on toughness around the basket and rebounding. A senior like Price could be in a world of trouble, if Coach W is looking at the future more than next year!! If Baker is the tough guy he's suppose to be, he and Coach W should get along just fine!! Davis is a fighter around the basket too but it sounds like The coach wants a true center, 6'9"+ in there too. I was hoping for about 18 wins next year but I think I might have to drop that SEVERAL, if Coach W doesn't even start the job for another two weeks or so!!!

You might want to reaccess your statement on Baker and Woj getting along fine. This staff (so far) is about dicipline-- including academic dicipline-- and working hard. Price appears (in the short time they have been working-- basically this week) to be doing fine. Certain others are not doing as well.

That's OK, because I have to believe they want to find out who wants to play their way or--- BE GONE. If anyone doesn't want to put out the effort, I'm sure they want to chase them off now and not waste the scholarship!! I'm would think the coaches also have been watching some film from last year and sometimes people play real tough in practice where there aren't a lot of whistles being blown to call fouls and how they play in games and no one is every going to make the mistake of using the word toughness when it comes to Price!!!!

Maybe, maybe not, but you are basing your assessment solely on basketball. I am telling you straight up that basketball is not the only focus of the staff. If certain players do not get their crap together on and off the court, they will struggle with this staff. Woj's brother is already tired of the crap from at least two players. Doesn't mean they will run them off, but those players who start behind have a greater potential to struggle under the new staff. They are digging their own hole.

I thought I was mainly talking about what the coaches are doing. A friend who went to Notre Dame said Coach WOJ was all about toughness. I said That word and Price were not used very often together and I don't think there is much argument about that. My next comment about the players who weren't getting on the new coach's bandwagon, discipline wise, that was made by TUFan, was actually a compliment to Price because according to TUFan he is doing just fine in that regard but I said the one's that weren't might get what they deserve!! You are right I am not a big Price fan and would much prefer to see Davis and probably Baker(?) around the basket. I am not closed minded and know players can change and maybe the new coach and staff can improve Price to the point where he is not a liability around the basket!!

Any of the players who aren't interested in doing things the new staff's way, coming off back-to-back 9-20 seasons, are showing they're not winners. And if they still feel that way this week, when their new head coach is in the Final Four, then they're stupid to boot and undeserving of wearing a Tulsa uniform.

I must have misread your intentions. You have great points in your reply.
Thanks!

I feel better after reading TUfan and jfisher's comments. Thanks. Just watching Michigan State play in the tournament makes me feel better. I hope Coach can get Tulsa to play like that.
