The MWC is at a huge disadvantage with the TV windows you can offer. Your sparsely populated footprint put a cap on your earning potential.

Boise's biggest mistake was not taking advantage of the instability to stay aligned with Eastern schools. Kustra's money grab was a huge miscalculation, imo.

We'll see how it plays out but the MWC is not a commensurate television property to the AAC. The short term MWC bonus money he procured is peanuts compared to the long term stability of Eastern time zone windows in a better league.

Sure, SDSU and Temple are in similar positions. Both teams have one very bad loss (Army and South Florida). Temple's loss to Memphis is similar to our loss to Wyoming. However, your loss to Penn State is "better" than our loss to CSU. Ultimately, Temple would get the nod ahead of SDSU if WMU loses, and we are both champs, due to your long win streak, and a very good win over South Florida.

You're right about one thing - Army and South Alabama (I assume that's what you meant) are very close at #91 and #99 (Massey Composite).

But here's the thing - Army is ranked ahead of HALF the MWC. That "bad loss" is above the MWC median. By comparison only four AAC teams that low.

If Penn State is Top Ten, none of us have a comparable team, but your methodology in separating CSU and Wyoming is odd. They are nearly identical at 52/55. Neither is comparable to Memphis at 41 -- better comparison is UCF at #63, 6-6, our 7th best team.

At or above Memphis? 6 AAC teams, 1 MWC team.

AAC has more teams higher at the top. MWC has more teams lower at the bottom. AAC is better as a conference top to bottom. Can one MAC or MWC team break through? Sure, but ESPN and CBSSN are honestly asking whether a 2-loss AAC team should jump an undefeated team because it is just a better conference top to bottom and AAC teams face better competition week in and week out.

There is a difference.
It is significant.
