1. This is illegal
2. Nicholas Kristof is soliciting a felony.
3. IRS which already has enough issues of targeting people would further erode confidence in the ins government and the institution if they were to do this.

Sure seems like the opposition, doesn’t it?

This is defense mode. The possibility of King O being dirty is leading them to wanting the tax returns so they can hope to find a crumb that links Trump to Russia.

Trump's been smart about this. Him not releasing the returns has kept that fire fueled.

So a reporter for the NY Times is soliciting the government to commit a crime, and thinks it's ok?

Color me shocked....

I do kind of wonder how some employees of the FBI, CIA, etc., have been so eager to release leaks of certain information, but no one in the IRS has leaked Trump's tax return. Must be a bunch of slackers working there...

Probably like their job too much to risk it. Who wants to read or talk to the accountant that leaked tax returns. Not very profitable.

That's why he hasn't and never will release them. Just like the current narrative and how nothing has come from the investigation or wire taps, if they don't find anything in his taxes, that won't stop them, they'll just make something up.

They want free political capital. Trump is right to tell them to f*** off.
