One east, one west with both having strong support from the locals.

UCONN didn't support the tournament that much, having it in Florida during the Spring actually hurts us in potential attendance, and most other places don't make sense outside of say Temple/Philly.

I would like ECU to host the tourney in the middle of ACC country, Greensboro, Charlotte , etc. and SMU to host the in between years.

We dont even want to watch our own team now. How would we support a tourney?

It's highly unlikely that large number of fans are ever going to travel to the conference basketball tournament. So you might as well just rotate it every year to every team in the conference.

We should rotate the tourney through Branson, Missouri. It's fairly centralized on the west side. It's only 4 hours from Tulsa. Plus I can go to the Dixie Stampede between games and get a whole chicken to myself while I watch a drama of the South rising again!

I'll be headed to the tourney like...

I would say at top seed but then that hurts traveling fans/teams if it comes down to last day.

No, although Wichita would love it, IBA only holds 14K. Wichita fans would travel in large numbers to Tulsa and Dallas though. Houston would be more of a stretch.
