I don't follow EPL, but will Newcastle get their act together next season?

Coventry to League Two. Man, they were a founding EPL member.

Could be worse...Nottingham barely avoided the drop to League One. They're already the only Champions League (European Cup) Champions not be in their country's top Divison, and they could've fallen to the third level VERY easily, and have to be on the shortlist next year.

There is no official tier 4 league. Which amateur league was it?

A lot of rumors are swirling that Thomas Tuchel will leave Dortmund after the season. I think he stays if BVB win the Pokal, but he would be a solid hire if he leaves. Maybe Arsenal?

*******...that seems like a terrible move for him. Sure he's second in his country, but he has made the CL quarterfinals, has a TON of high caliber talent and great prospects, plus some of the best fan support in the world. That must be a money play, because Arsenal is lateral at best for a German manager.

Meant multiple, my bad. Still weird that the only ones are in England, and it really isn't even close after that. No other winner has even been relegated, let alone established themselves in a lower division.

I'd contend that clubs 15-50(so bottom quarter of PL and the Championship/top of L1) in England are usually more competitive than almost any other country in the world.....aside from maybe Germany.

Eh...I bet the Rel teams in England would be mid-range at best in Italy, Spain, and France, and the majority of Championship clubs would be in the bottom half of most of Italy and France, might still be mid in Spain...La Liga is dreadful outside of the top 8 or so.. Definitely a cool thought experiential though.

Top 15 clubs in Spain and Germany better in most cases right now. Italy...meh other than Juve. My belief is that, other than maybe Germany, the bottom 5 clubs in the PL and the teams in the Championship are stronger(fan support, financials, etc) than their counterparts in Spain and Italy.

Fan Support and Financials I would 100% agree, I was more or less referring to on-field performance. I don't think Sunderland/Hull/Middlesbrough would crack the top 10 in any other Top 5 league.

and Im not saying they would. I am saying that they would kill in Segunda Division of La Liga and Serie B.

Swansea beats Sunderland to move to 38 pts...4 clear of hull and tied with palace

If hull wins tomorrow, then swansea/palace/hull win on the final match day, a 40 point team will be relegated

Man oh man...Arsenal just ate up Liverpool's entire GD lead today. If the Reds don't win tomorrow, I think Arsenal is going to end up in 4th again. Wenger just might save his Arsene again...

That 40 point team is possible, but still not certain. Swansea would have to beat West Brom, Hull would have to beat Palace/Tottenham and Palace would have to beat Man Utd for Hull to be relegated on 40 points.

If Hull drop points either tomorrow or next week, they are basically done. Swansea's goal difference advantage is pretty large.

I may just start placing $1000 fliers on whatever team hires Big Sam in February to stay in the Prem. It's getting ridiculous 03-lmfao
