In women's soccer, South knotted up with LSU 3-3 yesterday.

We are breaking in a new coach this year, our last one left for Arizona State if I remember correctly.

That is correct. Hopefully that game is not a symbol of what's to come. Our team beat LSU 4-0 last time that played at our regional. Hopefully LSU has gotten better.

New coach, new schemes. Helps having a solid senior core that has many big time wins under there belts. Remember tho it was an exhibition so he was probably trying out some combinations during the match that he would not try during reg season.

Lost to Old Miss last night 1-0 on a late goal. Both these games were exhibition. Time to start the real games, hopefully our new coach has figured out all he needs to know.

We looked much better defensively last night. Our keeper is a beast. We missed a few golden opportunities to take the lead early.

Watching the highlights and seeing Sage Park with turf fields. That's not the Sage Park I played at through high school.

South is now 7-4-1 for the season, but 5-0 in conference.

We started slow with the new coach, losing our first 4 games. Since then we are 7-0-1. Troy pushed us to double OT, but the good girls won and kept us perfect in conference.

Bobcats 7-4-1 Overall, 5-1 in Conference.

Our last 4 consecutive wins were by shutout:

1-0 over GS
1-0 over StAte
4-0 over App
3-0 over LA

Travel to ULM Friday. .

At the start of the season someone complained about how crappy our soccer team is.

Currently at 7-4-1 (5-1)

last 4 games have been shutouts.
Only loss was 1-0 vs CCU
USA is our last game of the season.

Can we update the title of this thread and pin it to discuss all soccer games this season?

We managed to beat Coastal this weekend, which is pretty impressive considering they have like 4 times the facilities we do.

I saw it as one of those classic soccer matches in which one team completely dominates play, but struggles in the final third while giving up a cheap goal on the way to a loss.

It was sort of like watching an Arsenal match...
