Season starts today!

Last season AState and Coastal shared the league title, with the Chanticleers winning the tournament. This year, both teams are again heavily favored to win their respective divisions, and meet again in the Tourney final, which is in Jonesboro this year.

In the meantime, both teams will spend non conference attempting to earn enough quality victories that they won't need to win the conference title to go to the NCAA Tournament berth.

AState heads to Lexington this weekend to play Kentucky, Cincinnati, and Utah.

UTA has Houston and McNeese and Southern in today to start off the new coach's era at UTA.

AState splits 2 in Kentucky today: Losing 3-0 to #14 Kentucky and beating Cincinnati 3-1. Will close out the tournament against #19 Utah tomorrow.

UTA sweeps Southern 3-0 in the UTA Invitational. Host McNeese (1-0) and Houston (0-1) tomorrow.

Bobcats went 1-1 at the TX A&M invitational yesterday. Downed Sam Houston State in the opener, lost to VA Commonwealth later in the day.

Were scheduled to play A&M today, but Harvey put an end to the second day of the tourney, which was a good call. Team came home after yesterday's second game.

Coastal beat UTSA 3-2 yesterday, play TCU today.

Apps drop another five setter today.

AState gets swept by #19 Utah after coming within two points of winning both of the first two sets. 1-2 on the weekend after facing two ranked teams and a good AAC team. About what I expected.

At Southern Illinois on Tuesday before Ole Miss, SMU, and Virginia Tech come to Jonesboro for a tournament next weekend.
