Not enjoying it anymore than all the other teams we thoroughly expect to beat.
98% of us on our board expected a win, most of them an easy win.
Turned out we were right. Was not a surprise at all. Don't flatter yourselves in thinking we were caught off guard by this win.
The only surprising thing is the score was as close as it was.
Enjoy it while you can. Mike Houston is gone by the end of your season.

You kids still here after the game shows how much it means to you. Beating a Big Boy team is a big deal. No shame in that. Enjoy!

Why is EZU viewed as a step child within the state of North Carolina?

We had to find you somewhere, cause you all disappeared from the stadium fast on Saturday and have been MIA on our board as well since the game ended.
Just trying to find some insightful analysis from Ecu about what happened.
We know what happened. Exactly what we expected to happen.

Only after he wins us another title. In which case, good for him and two titles? Great for us.
We'll have no shortage of great candidates begging for the job

It says a lot that people are calling for the heads of our coach, AD, Chancellor, and Board of Trustees after losing to y'all.
It's funny, normally when we win I root for our opponents so we look better.

Coaching staff needs to be called out big time. All we heard was how great practice had been going and how well the team had adjusted to the new defensive scheme. Unfortunately we saw absolutely nothing Saturday to back that up. I was 100% against the firing of Coach Ruff, but Montgomery is here now. He needs support and we need to give him 3-4 years or else it will be another major setback for East Carolina.
That said, I'm probably one of the loudest voices shouting for Compher's head. Anybody would have had a difficult time following in Coach Holland's footsteps, but Jeff Compher has been abysmal. I never liked the hire, and the decision to fire Ruff and extend Lebo only cemented that in my head. I have no idea what Compher did to earn an extension, and if he had an ounce of decency he would renegotiate.

Yes, Compher must go, but Mo can't be given 3 to 4 years. The team under Mo's direction has gone backwards. Case in point, review how we started well last year and then devolved to awful. We can make a change at the end of this year and hopefully find someone that can get our program turned around.

I have ties to one of eastern NC s big time hs football programs and everyone either scouted or visited with Coach Mo walked away not impressed .Being stationed aboard Cherry Point and coaching football in the area Im well aware of the pull of the Pirate Club and how they force out coaches with little rhyme or reason. Dont underestimate the pull of that group ..its not always the A.D making a lot of these crazy decisions .Im going back to the Coach Logan days attending clinics he would put on with many influential coaches throughout the country.

Oh look, the jackwagons are still here, crowing about how it's not their super bowl despite still crowing about it.
If ECU is an "afterthought" in NC and a "stepchild", then JMU is the prom night dumpster baby of Virginia. A national championship but your claim to fame is "we beat Virginia Tech and a (very likely 0-12) ECU team!"
Who knew the pathway to becoming relevant for the first time ever was to take every player that got thrown off of an FBS squad for reading at a 4th grade level or punching females? You'll be the next Miami in no time.

Just as an NC State grad said to me today,... "ECU has had some success as of late ,.. but this was a reality check for their storied program".
