Stadium needs to get off sub channels and on a channel next to the locals on the dial.

That's not the strategy though. They are serving the OTA only viewers. Doesn't matter if they are on sub-channels since they show up when people scan for channels.

They also serve the online viewers with their Roku, web and Pluto TV along with the apps.

Where did you read their strategy?

Really wish they would add Austin. Our package used to be part of the San Antonio market but changed last year.

I'm fortunate that the Indy station in my area that signed on with Stadium is on cable/satellite providers along with the other local stations.

Nothing read. Just observe. Sinclair owns most of Stadium. Sinclair main -1 stations are for the major networks (Fox, NBC, ABC or CBS). The focus left over from ASN was to develop an OTA network on the digital sub-channels.
Sure they are on some cable channels but from the group of 3 companies that formed (Campus Insiders, ASN, 120 Sports) Stadium, it is to built out the streaming part as well as the OTA part. The amount of households grows by the quarter as more people cut the cord and go to OTA only or streaming. When you scan channels, it doesn't matter if its a sub-channel, it just makes it more economical for the main station to show multiple networks over the same spectrum to increase cash revenue.

I like the Stadium App on Roku, would kill to have something like that for CUSATV (or if we were under Stadium's umbrella).

I'll admit I can't keep up with all these TV channels and internet providers. It's too confusing. Our broadcast partners change too often, and I can't keep up. I'm frustrated to the point that I don't want to even try to find the games I'd like to watch unless they are part of the Comcast Sports Package. A game may be available in one area, but not the other. We've been relegated to internet obscurity. Just awful. There must be a better way. Sometimes I think it would be best to give our content away, so long as it meant that we'd be seen on regular television, on one or two semi-reputable networks.
