I told everyone here that Zac Taylor was Cincy's coach-in-waiting. I just didn't say for which Cincinnati team. 04-rock

As one who was very pleased with his hiring at UC and then very disappointed with the performance of the offense under his coordination, I'm now very surprised to see Zac Taylor already getting NFL HC hype:

NFL head coaching candidates: Will Cleveland Browns target next Sean McVay?

Quote:...they might be inclined to consider several candidates identified recently by NFL.com's Tom Pelissero as the "next Sean McVay," the Los Angeles Rams head coach and Miami University alum who played receiver for the RedHawks from 2004 to 2007.

Among Pelissero's short list of names to remember is Rams quarterbacks coach Zac Taylor, a University of Cincinnati Bearcats offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach under Tommy Tuberville in 2016.

Pelissero on Taylor and TEs coach/passing game coordinator Shane Waldron:

"It's only a matter of time until someone hires from the McVay tree, and Taylor and Waldron have impressed with how they've stepped into leadership roles. Their styles are different, but McVay considers both special. Taylor, 35, is more likely to win over people in an interview -- more pizzazz, has the feel of a head coach. He was a college QB and has called plays before. Waldron, 39, hasn't had as much time in front of the room and may need a little more time to work on his presence, but he has leadership traits and also worked under Bill Belichick in New England."
