Jay Bilas could still do a show from Charlotte, where he lives. It's not like the SEC owns the Charlotte studios.

Good point. The blurb below kind of hints at this when it talks about coach and player interviews. It doesnt take much more for folks to host a show etc... from Charlotte.

"In certain cases, ESPN’s Charlotte studio will conduct some coach and player interviews for ACC Network, but its studio production and operations will be housed in Bristol. Similar to the SEC Network, each ACC school will have its own studio space on campus."

Last I checked you have a lot of Syracuse Alums-(ACC Remember) that reside in Bristol...07-coffee3

OK so basketball and lacrosse are covered.....what are we going to do about football?

Who do you want to be the face of football for the ACC network?

If I were hiring my first hire would be Danny Kannell. I'd pair him with Tommy Bowden in the studio with whoever as the talking head and have one of the best studio show teams in the business.

Not really. We've long accepted the fact that ESPN really really hates UCONN. Unless of course they can make a mint at our expense. In that case they really really love us.

That pretty much describes ESPN's feelings about everyone.

Just think of the "Experts" show you could have with Bobby & Tommy Bowden, Durham, Beamer, Schnellenberger & perhaps a few more.

I can go with Woody's boy. If I close my eyes and he gets excited he sounds like his dad. Just keep Jay Bilas away.

The ACC Network should also hire away Roddy Jones and Jenn Hildreth from the other ESPN areas they now occupy. There's your sideline team. There's some other things out that that make total sense but I doubt ESPN is going to give them up lightly. Such as Todd Blackledge.

Wes Durham.

We could do a whole lot worse than having Wes as our lead PBP man.

Packer could be our version of Finebaum. Both are ace bomb-throwers.

Katie George would make an excellent sideline reporter for The ACC Network. Former ACC Volleyball player, former Miss Kentucky, Miss America Top 10 and Sportscaster.
Google her.... Easy on the eyes

I'd like to see Steve Logan in some capacity. He's doing some good stuff with WRAL (Raleigh). He is 64 and his stories might be a tad long for live TV but his analysis is spot on.

This should be its own thread.

The PBP guy will be an alumnus of Newhouse. The FB Color analyst will come from a school like FSU or Clemson. Basketball Color analyst will come from UNC or Duke.

Ric "Doc" Walker for football color commentary. Then all these expansion fans can learn about why the All ACC team is full of ORIGINAL CYBORG WEREWOLF CYCLOPS. FUNCTION AT THE JUNCTION! Steve Martin wasn't too bad to pair him up with either honestly.

We were lucky to be among the pioneers.

He put ACC basketball on the map, about 10 years ahead of everyone else, and they are still trying to catch up.

Danny Jannel, Tommy Bowen, Mark Packer, and Wes Durham are all good choices and I would be happy with any or all of them.

I'll throw out a curve ball... How about Tim Brando? He seems very interested.

It's spooky how much he sounds like Woody.
