I booked my flights/hotel today for the Miami-UNC game on the 28th. Any recommendations on what to do/see/eat? I am staying near the airport. Have a ticket in 105 behind the Canes bench.

Mama Dips is a good country-style restaurant in Chapel Hill. Link Save room for the pie.
The Angus Barn is a good steak house near the airport. Link Awesome wine list.

Franklin Street is where all the students and fans hang out. You may want to avoid that. Or maybe not...

Morehead Planetarium used to be a good show. Link I haven't been there in a while though.

Begin planning your North Korean subterranean tunnel to the stadium. Because that's actually easier than finding close parking. 03-wink

If you go to the Angus Barn, remember to bring your appetite and lots of money. Great food and lots of it doesn't come cheap.

Go over to Durham to eat. Much better food in Durham and also places to park. It's not just the football stadium in Chapel Hill that lacks parking. The whole town lacks parking! I don't know what kind of food you like so I won't make recommendations. No need to suggest fine dining if all you want is burgers and brew.

There are places in Durham that even the Police are afraid to go.

I hope your seats in 105 are on a double letter row.
It is tough to see well from rows a-g.

If you like Mexican Food...one just south of the Airport is a really solid choice. I really enjoyed the Burrito California. The waiter told me he thinks the California, Supreme and Tejano are the best Burritos.

The place isn't super fancy but very clean and comfortable...has a Fast Casual feel. Plenty of parking. I'll be back next year when I fly into RDU.

Take the park and ride. They will deliver/pick up right outside the stadium. Check the UNC website for info.

Yeah, right. The last time I did that, I arrived at the Friday Center about 45 minutes before kickoff. The bus got me to the stadium in the middle of the second quarter! The parking situation in Chapel Hill on a normal day is out of hand. On a football Saturday, it's beyond unbelievable.

Visit Franklin Street, eat in Chapel Hill. Don't listen to these Duke/State fans. UNC is embarrassingly an easy place for a visiting fan to feel at home. I remember when Notre Dame was running rounds of their fight song in the bathrooms at halftime! Funny result: UNC won the game, although it was when Brandon Tate was hurt so there is still a dark cloud hovering over that game.

There is no safety issue with going to Franklin Street. I noted it for reference.

I also included a restaurant in Chapel Hill.

I know I am not a double letter row but I think I am about 12 or 15 rows up. Hopefully that is high enough. Thanks again for all the tips everyone. I am staying by the airport and am planning to take the bus (or an Uber) and just head to campus early, walk around, take some pictures. Will have to check out that Mexican place, maybe for lunch if it's not a noon game, though I am expecting that it will be. Very excited!
