I’m agnostic on the issue of whether he acted alone. I suppose that, in some way or form, his “depression” and “losing money” probably did play a role in this. But I have no doubt — none — there is a lot more to it than just that.

Agree with the poster who said that MGM’s investigation probably puts the efforts of standard law-enforcement to shame. Basically, every square inch of these high-end casino properties are under continual, 24/7 video surveillance. Incredibly difficult to believe that nobody noticed anything awry.

You guys over estimate the abilities of a casino. They watch their money and their very high rollers. Something like this is beyond their expertise by miles.

Casinos have only one thing in mind. BOTTOM LINE. They "sub out" things like this. Have a college room mate who is head of security at a casino. You underestimate what they do.

He got help from the bell hops. He was a high roller in a suite. Every time he walked into the casino/hotel anybody who was within sight of him HAS to acknowledge him. Hell, valets were parking his car and helping him get the stuff out of it etc.

I have several family members talking different anti depressant type drugs and after several years now it often feels like I am the only one still playing with a full deck.

They seem ok often times at a glance, but when there is the first sign of stress, their words and decision making become very erratic.

Seems like they reasoned better before all the antidepressants.

my daughter's first grade teacher called my ex-wife suggesting she needed that shite one day....

There's always a motive. But unless Paddock left behind some indication as to why he did this there's nothing the FBI can do to determine it. Sometimes you just have to accept the fact that the reasoning behind a criminal act dies with the criminal.

There were videos of the shooter training at a gun range on YouTube until the morning of the shooting. I have this twisted habit of googling a person’s name whenever something like the Vegas shooting happens. I remember looking at the video early that morning after the shooters name came out. I went back a few hours later and it had been scrubbed from YouTube.

I would suspect he had latent mental issues from childhood since his father was a top 10 most wanted criminal.
