UVA just beat a previously 1 loss Duke team to pull to 4-1. Their next 3 opponents are UNC (1-5) BC (2-4) and Pitt (2-4).

Would wins over 3 teams with a total of 5 wins be good enough to get UVA ranked if they were 7-1?

They at least need to win 2 of their next 3 to get to a bowl. The last 4 games are against GT, Lou, Mia, and VT. But to answer your question, if on Oct 29, UVA is sitting at 7-1, they will be ranked.

20, 21, 23 and (4) "others receiving votes" lost this week so this could be their week.
