Got to say, I'm surprised Florida isn't going after Frost, but I guess the consensus with him is he's headed to Nebraska as soon as AAC championship game is over and he formally interviews.

He reportedly turned them down.

According to source(s) on football scoop, Greg Schiano is seeking financial compensation from Tennessee for breaking the agreement off as they had something in place before all heck broke loose with the backlash. Talk about screwing the pooch on this hiring process.

This just in... IF UTSA gets a bowl invitation this year (we don't deserve one), our Wide Receivers Coach, Jeff Kastl, will handle the play-calling duties because our OC Frank Scelfo has been relieved of his duties. Many Roadrunner faithful have been calling for this for half the season, and it's now official.

When you guys announced Scelfo was UTSA's new OC, I WARNED you --right here on this board-- and told you that Scelfo was a horrible OC. I told you he was one of the worst OC's in the history of LA Tech football. Of course, none of you UTSA guys wanted to hear it. You were already planning how you were going to run up the score on LA Tech this fall. 03-lmfao Of course, you all told me I was jealous that UTSA got him and Tech didn't, and blah, blah, blah. 03-lmfao

You UTSA guys are a real trip. You are definitely a "shoot first.......and ask questions later" group of fans. 07-coffee3

Again, don't include me in the "you all" talk, and I highly doubt it was all our fans saying those things to begin with, so calm down.

Multiple reports out so I'll go ahead and add David Bailiff of Rice to the growing list

It was quite a run. First win was a big upset of USM and almost pulled off another upset on Homecoming against you guys. In between quite a few ups and downs but our first outright conference title in 60 years and two ten-win seasons were big highlights.

I'd like for WKU's special teams coordinator to be fired, however it is the father of our head coach. I'm not going to hold my breathe waiting for that to happen.

EDIT: how could I forget our OC as well. He also needs to go.

Herm Edwards is reportedly going to be the new coach at Arizona State, pending sign off from the university president. What a weird hire.

The AD said he would basically only have minorities on his list of possible candidates. I guess he got what he wanted. Amazing something like that could be said in this day and age.

AD (who apparently used “someone who would keep the current OC and DC” as his head coach searching criteria”) used to be Edwards’ agent. Smells like one buddy doing another buddy a favor. This will be a disaster and they’ll both get fired.

Between this, the idiocy of John Currie and the fact that Dan Guerrero was merely a role player in getting Chip Kelly, it really makes you realize how college athletics administration can really attract some complete morons.

Jimbo Fisher now added. Things will probably pick up more tomorrow after conference championship games are completed.

RE: 2017 football coaching changes
Pretty informative article on how much cash these schools are forking over to the fired coaches. The main part of the article is about former Arkansas coach Bielima as well as the possible replacement being Auburn's Malzahn

http://www.espn.com/college-football/sto...s-contract

Bielema, 47, would become the fourth FBS coach to receive a contract buyout in excess of $10 million. UCLA's Jim Mora ($12.275 million), Arizona State's Todd Graham ($12.26 million) and Texas A&M's Kevin Sumlin ($10.46 million) also are scheduled to receive sizable buyouts after being fired earlier this month.

And the camera just happened to show Frost during the first OT and you see him look down at his watch and semi grimace just before it was announced. Makes you wonder if he got a text saying “news is about to break on this”. And then as soon as game ends he shakes hands with the Memphis coach and then “sprints towards the tunnel” according to the announcers.

And yes, the timing was classless.

Michigan State couldn't wait and leaked news of John L. Smith's hire during Louisville's bowl game v. Marshall. Some of the P5 schools really have no class. Let's face it everyone knew Frost would take the Nebraska job a week ago.
