Tennessee should go after UAB coach Bill Clark for it's next coach..He has proved him self at UAB, Has Deep Tiers to Alabma and Southeast Tn, and knows the area and Fits in that type of Enviroment...It would be a Homerun for them...

Bill Clark is more realistic of a get and fit for them...He has done good at UAB and has ties to Alabama and East Tn and would fit in well up there...No one is knocking down doors to go there and after Butch Jones is fired it will be even worse for them...They aren't a Powerhouse and haven't done anything since tee Martin in 98...they need to face what they have become...Just saying...

Bama didn't 'fact what they have become' after Stallings was let go, neither did Michigan. UT's limitation is whether or not the BMD want to pass around the collection plate for another buyout.

Tennessee can pass it around and pay whatever they want..No coach wants to be there who is worth anything because Georgia is back, Florida is a QB away South Carolina on the Rise..They are 3 to 4th best in the East...Tennessee is like Nebraska, Arkansas who have to rely on Nationaly Recruiting and Have NO instate Base recruiting funnel like so many others do...Tennessee will not go into Memphis and just take whoever they want thats good anymore either with Comp from Alabama, Auburn, Lsu and a Rising Memphis..Same with Mississippi as well...So Tennessee like Nebraska, Arkansas have to rely on National Recruiting and year to year alot of those Kids are Over rated, and don't always pan out , or the Under rated kids go to the other state schools from those states...Tennessee like Nebraska, Arkansas aren't top Coaching jobs like they use to be because more schools and Social Media, and the way Recruiting is these days have changed and caught up to them schools...Again Tennessee needs to be realistic and go after a coach they can get and would be a great fit for them..And thats a guy like Bill Clark from UAB, who is probably the best case get that they could get for them...Those are some real facts...

If TN can't win at a high level anymore, then we just keep Butch Jones and take our 9-4 seasons and occasional luck into the Sugar Bowl seasons. We don't settled for a guy.

Ole' Miss recruits Memphis. Not Tennessee. Tenner recruits Georgia, North Carolina, and Florida.

Hawghiggs thats what i'm Saying Tennessee doesn't have a In state recruiting base yearly and relys on National recruits..WHen you have say Florida and the other Florida Schools in state of Florida watching those Florida Kids they get a better feel of those kids and say Tennessee from out of state..Alabama, Lsu, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Auburn Have A In State Recruiting base and can then go National or for fill ins..Also alot of those High Stars Tennessee gets are great on Paper but alot of them are Overrated and they miss out on alot of the Under rated National kids because since they have to go National every class every year so much so that they can't really Evaluate kids like Others...They are a Powerhouse of a Program anymore nor is Nebraska..Because those two rely so heavily on National classes and with No In State recruiting base and so much more Comp from more programs now those jobs aren't dream jobs anymore...No matter how big their fan bases are...Just think Tennessee needs to be realistic and go after a coach they can get who would be a perfect fit for them and that is Bill Clark of UAB..Bill Clark could be at Tennessee could be like Barry Alvarez was at Wisconsin..That so bad for them...Best they could hope for in reality...

That wall of text asserts that UT has a talent issue. That isn't the case. They, like other schools in the SE mine talent from GA and FL. Not accessing the 3rd Division isn't that big a loss when ATL is right down the road.

The current team is quite athletic, what is lacking is decent coaching competency. I don't know the UAB coach, so I can't assess his acumen, but no is 'resigned to their fate ' in Knoxville. The Vols and the Huskers situations have significant differences, making comparisons between the two specious.

Well Nebraska is gonna go after Frost more than likely and he would Want the JOB BAD..Here is Nebraska problem like the same is with Arkansas..When they both broke off from Texas League they lost a Major Recruiting advantage into Texas..Now Nebraska like Arkansas are most cut off from Major texas kids and it hurts them badly...Top coaches UTK are gonna go after are Chip Kelley, Jon Gruden who both are highly unlikely, because they do not wanna coach College and recruit KIDS..Then Justin Fuente at VT, and Clemaon DC and Detriot Lions OC...Maybe Clemson's DC bites and takes it, And Long shot Maybe Justin Fuente who loves Small towns and Small Town life takes it but again Highly Unlikely...Bill Clark would be like a Younger Phil Fulmer for them..Forget he's at UAB, He has LOng Standing ties into Alabama High Schools, And Southeast TN, and he took UAB from 2-10 to 6-6 in his first year there..Then they disnamtled the Football program and has raised funds to build some pretty nice things for them at UAB, and first year back in C-USA has them 2-2 and could eaily be 3-1...Guy can coach, Knows the area and Fits in there and would know how to handle the JOB and the Enviroment there...He would be their Best Shot at returning to As close to the glory days as they could ask for...Maybe Fuente can be bout out and take it, but thats ALOT of money to pay Butch, Buy out Justin Fuente from VT and still pay him more than he is making now...Just saying ..They need to take a LONG look at BIll Clark be be more realistic...

Alot of talk from Some big UTK Alums that they are gonna go all out for NC State coach Dave Doeren for their next coach...This could get really good and a big battle between UTK and NC State for Doeren...

Doeren would be a mistake. Overrated as a coach and has a bad record in big games. Pretty boring personality as well, not sure how he would do with the media in Knoxville.

Hearing their top 4 choices are Chip Kelley, JOn Gruden, Justin Fuente and Dave Doeren...Kelly and Gruden both say they want No part of College and They hate recruiting Kids, they are very long long shots..Justin Fuente has a good thing at VT and don't see him leaving but slight chance at best..But hear Dave Doeren then would be their Primary Target and could get into a bidding war with NC State to get him at all costs...So yea it is looking like Doeren is becoming the top target...They want a coach with a full body of work they are saying...
