No, decision yet, but the BOT approved the interim AD's contract. I think Jurich goes down for supporting Pitino.

For supporting Pitino doing what?
Rick passed a polygraph concerning the allegations that he was fired for. How can Jurich be fired for not knowing about something Rick didn't do?

JMO....Jurich is toast...Louisville Basketball is now eligible for the Death Penalty. Any AD with this kind of scandal with Strippers and Play for Pay within 3 years is DOA...especially when now the FBI is involved.
The Tom Jurich era ends IMO on Wednesday 18 October 2017

That goes on Pitino resume & maybe Toms as well but he also has the transformation of a commuter school into an ACC caliber member institution as well. He has the transformation of a baseball program that had never reached the postseason & now has multiple CWS appearances. He has women national runner ups banners & Olympic swimmers as well. He has Cardinals Park & multiple football stadium expansions on his resume along with the Thorntons academics center with excellent athletic academic scores. Yeah the recent blemishes are sticking out like a sore thumb but you can't overlook the decade plus of excellence. The UofL needs to keep Jurich.
As far as Tom supporting Rick, he has already said that if he had known that Rick was coach 2 in the FBI report that he would have fired him. Lets give the man all the information & a chance to do his job before going off half cocked. The UofL is in dire need of a leader right now & that should be Jurich.

As much as I hate to see it because I think Jurich is one of the best ADs in the business I do feel his time at Louisville is over. There's no way to survive this kind of scandal following the hooker scandal.

Personally, I hope Tom stays. Any CEO of a company will tell You, it's impossible to know what Hundreds of employees are doing 24/7. Should that CEO get fired if one of His employees robs a bank during lunch hour ? Lol it happened where I used to work for 30 years. The robber got jail time and nothing happened to the CEO.

RE: Rick Pitino fired today!
Jurich is an awesome AD but he made his bed with Pitino. Pitino--Too many red flags: prior issues before UL, 15 second restaurant fling, Pitino greed with Adidas contract, Stripper-Gate, and finally the pay for 5 star recruit scandal.
Universities are very PC and want to protect their reputation among other schools. Jurich/Pitino brought athletic fame to the school but at a high cost.

Rick Pitino was not just one of Tom Jurich's employees.
To be an accurate analogy, it would have to be an employee that the CEO hired personally. And yes, if he kept hiring bank robbers he should be fired.

What red flags & prior issues did Rick have before Louisville? He was hired at UK after their scandal to clean things up, ironically. He had 1 instance in his first job at Hawaii & nothing else. He had a bad tenure with the Celtics but nothing that would keep anyone from hiring him. He was about to take the Michigan job before Louisville offered him.
Greedy Adidas contract? That was apart of his salary & a contract the UofL would not have had without Rick.
With Sypher, McGee & being coach 2 is why he's gone. 2 of those could have been covered up by paying the women off which I suspect is what would have happened elsewhere.
People keep pointing to Rick but what about the other coaches that Tom hired, don't they count? There's a lot of quality coaches & quality individuals there. Our baseball program is at its highest level by far than it has ever been. Women basketball was national runners up a few years ago. Women sports are performing better than ever overall, even our swimmers are competing with olympians. What about the transformation of the entire campus? What about how athletics has directly enhanced academics? A commuter college was transformed into an ACC member. This was all Tom Jurich. I'll take a little bad for the overwhelming good that he brings.

So are we saying that what's considered a scandal at Louisville would be "cleaning things up" at Kentucky?

I would say that Louisville was finally starting to level the playing field.

Much bigger things happen up the road. How do you explain number 1 recruiting class every year, players have access to pros, rap stars, celebraties, beautiful girlfriends and sports agents that give most 1st round draft picks and huge shoe contracts every year while not hurting academics with players leaving after 1 year. Yeah We never came close to leveling the playing field.

Polygraphs are a joke. They are not used as evidence because it has repeatedly been proven that they can not tell if a person is lying. They are nothing more than a PR gimmick.

Terrible analogy. The CEO will go down if he signs a contract that he is not authorized to. The CEO will go down if a major division is repeatedly caught violating rules. The CEO will go down if a senior manager didn't properly oversee his division and places the organization in the middle of a FBI investigation. The CEO will go down if he places the parent company in jeopardy.

According to news reports last night the contract was shown to and approved by BOT and previous interim president Pinto ,that got another Presidents job elsewhere. Guess Postel wasn't in on it and some BOT members moved on
