Several subpoenas issued by federal prosecutors in hoops investigation
All of these subpoenas for documents including phone records and emails, are for programs implicated in the federal complaints that have already been filed: Miami, Louisville, Auburn, Arizona, Oklahoma State, and USC.

Quote:Hurricanes men’s basketball coach Jim Larrañaga has already turned over a series of documents to government officials, but on Wednesday, his attorney confirmed Larrañaga has also received a federal grand jury subpoena in the large-scale investigation of corruption in college basketball.
Quote:Larrañaga is not the only coach to receive a subpoena in the case. According to the Louisville Courier-Journal, former Cardinals coach Rick Pitino has also been subpoenaed and the Los Angeles Times reported that personnel at Auburn, Arizona, Oklahoma State and USC have been subpoenaed, as well.

Jim Larranaga issued a statement in which he said, "Based on what we know at this time, my legal team believes I am Coach-3."

Quote:Miami was not named outright in the FBI’s initial release; it did, however, match up with the description of "University-7" in the documents—a "private research university located in Florida" boasting "approximately 16,000 students and over 2,600 faculty members." One of the school’s coaches (Coach 3, or Larranaga) is alleged to have worked with former Adidas executive Jim Gatto to help pay "player-12" a signing bonus of $150,000 to play for the Hurricanes.

In a phone call recorded Aug. 9, former agent and AAU employee Christian Dawkins told Adidas employee Merl Code that "Coach-3 knows everything." In a recording from two days later, the same coach requested Gatto use Adidas coffers to pay a player $150,000 to sign with them instead of a Nike school. The FBI also claims to have phone records, but not recordings, of an Aug. 6 phone call between Gatto and Larranaga. The player in question is Nasir Little, who committed to North Carolina on Oct. 5—Little provided the Palm Beach Post with an affidavit that denied he or his father ever discussed such a signing bonus, claiming further that no Adidas or AAU employees ever offered him money.

IMO, gonna be a long, long, long time before we hear anything regarding any other teams if we ever do at all. Pure guess on my part but I doubt it.

That seems likely, because the way prosecutors work is completely opposite from our internet-driven desire to know everything immediately. The feds will want to keep everything under wraps until their investigation of a target is fully developed, and they want to control the timing of the public release for tactical reasons.
