Hope the women beat the absolute piss out of Richmond today. Glad to see that the Spiders still have sports that they're willing to play us in. What a bunch of *******.

Opener of a Men's - Women's Double Header at the Robins Center (Spiders play Vermont tonight).

Good second half for the ladies, who were up only by 2 at halftime.

We beat Richmond 78-64 and stand at 6-1. I wasn't sure where all the scoring would come, but everyone is sharing the ball and scoring. Richmond is a good team as they lost to WF by 4, lost to Florida by 7 and beat ODU by 9. Another great win for WBB.

This team is surely a contender for the CAA championship this season...yesterday's road win at Richmond was a terrific win . They appear to be a year ahead of schedule as a CAA contender.

The big difference in the last couple games is that we're hitting a lot more three point shots. This team is also very young with the exception of Green and Rendle.

I see where the ODU WBB just won their first game of the season.

How many Monarch teams were gutted so they could have FBS football?

Struggling a bit today. Down 43-41 to St Francis. Very unlike us to give up 43 in a half.

St. Francis not bad. They scored 103 vs. Seton Hall.

Yeah Swanson noted that it would be a tough game in one of his interviews. I just think the lower the score the better the game will go for us.

70-67 SFU after three. The Red Flash went on a big run with Rendle taking a breather

They have a freshman sharpshooter who is shooting 3's like she is unconscious. Swanson needs to get a defender on her so that she can't take a shot without the defender being in her shorts.

Plus, they just took a point away from us between the third and fourth periods.

Great win! 92-86. We need to quit fouling on 3 pointers though.

RE: Women's Basketball 2017-2018
A MIGHTY win! 92-86.

Tribe played stellar defense in the 4th period and made their foul shots. Showed tremendous character in this win where they did not play their best.

Things to work on: 1. Abby Rendle was calling for the ball in the last five minutes and they weren't giving it to her. Yes, she had stone hands through most of the game and she missed some easy layups -- but when the center is calling for the ball then you get it to her.

2. I thought Bianca Boggs and Victoria Reynolds made some careless passes. In fact, it looked like the only one who could make good decisions on the inbounds passes was Jenna Green.

All in all, a great win!

Looking at their schedule, WBB should be 10-1 as they start the CAA competition.
