...seems interesting. I kind of like it when things aren't that compressed, however. That's going to be a very hot and smelly place if ventilation isn't taken into account.

I'm skeptical. Their own graphics show the court being obscured by the arrangement. Sports are linear. There is a reason they don't put TV Cameras up there. I don't want to watch the tops of players heads while looking between my knees.

I think you're bound to lose capacity while driving up the cost to build such a thing. Upper decks become smaller and smaller the higher they are. It's a cool idea, though. Not bad if you want to open up the club box idea to a bigger audience, but, I don't know how you sell those seats when you're still so removed from the floor when it really comes down to it.

I'll wait until JRSec weighs in on this. I really can't see what the difference is between this & regular arena seating.

Rosetti's website illustrated lower construction costs via less materials and a smaller footprint.

Well, they just seemed to want to patent what has already been thought of...

Mainly, older 20th Century venues like the Boston Garden, Chicago Stadium and Oregon's Mac Court, but rather than seating, the upper areas are basically standing room for Millennials (& younger) as they don't necessarily want an assigned seat.

Have to think climate control would be problematic with heat rising and having less room to disperse.

A smaller footprint for the same capacity means a stronger foundation (i.e. more money). Making a building taller also means more money. We'll have to wait until someone actually builds one to see if their numbers play out.

I went to a game in the old Astro Dome. Multiple decks, maybe 10 rows each??
