A lot of times head coaches vote for their own team because they say they need to believe that they can win it if they are gonna get their players to believe it.

Probably Owens who did. I'm not expecting miracles right away, but we have a similar roster to last year (meh upperclassmen, some promising freshman), a similar schedule (a few more buy games, but the bad teams are worse), and go from a Tennessee State staff to that of Purdue. Could very well surprise some people and get a MAC tourney home game at least.
