Mountaineer mascot Troy Clemons arrested for DUI
Quote:According to his criminal complaint: A deputy stopped Clemons for speeding on Stewartstown Road.
He failed field sobriety tests, and a preliminary breath test showed a .126 blood alcohol content, above the .08 legal driving limit.
Back in the '90's, my roommate was lab partners with the mascot. One night they all hit Dickson Street after class, and my roommate had to drive his car home. That dude was in the back seat throwing up out the back window. Police pulled him over and decided to escort the car to the nearby apartment complex where the guy lived. Somehow the mascot dude managed to get some puke on the cop car.

Quote:Sources have confirmed to The Read Optional reports from elsewhere that Tennessee has offered over $10 million a year to Jon Gruden.

Not sure how reliable these guys are, but they have some other interesting tidbits if true.
Quote:Striklin’s list (all AD’s keep a running list of coaching candidates for such moments) includes all the typical names: His old buddy Dan Mullen (Striklin was Mullen’s boss at Mississippi State); UCF head coach Scott Frost; current ESPN employee Chip Kelly; Iowa State’s Matt Campbell; Memphis’ Mike Norvell.
Quote:The same is true for Chip Kelly. Kelly is looking at fits rather than the biggest pay day. Sources tell The Read Optional that Kelly has yet to hear from either Florida or Tennessee about their potential openings. Kelly’s choice will come down to recruiting: The staff he can assemble, and the investment from the school into analysts and the overall recruiting budget. Kelly has no holdups about media obligations, as has been suggested by some.
