Miami made a statement as well but it could well be a case of Notre Dame being more exposed than the Canes being that good.

Auburn is clearly the new dark horse. The Tigers must be salivating at the chance at having two more chances of knocking off top ten teams.

Wisco needs to just take care of business since we still have a lot more twists and turns. Are they helped more by beating Iowa or Ohio State smashing Michigan State? Mississippi State could've done the Big Ten a huge favor but that didn't happen.

Right now it looks like the remaining drama is between Clemson and Miami not dropping any more games before the CCG, Oklahoma and the Big XII and Bama/Auburn/Georgia.

If Wisconsin beats Michigan and Ohio State they're in, provided they don't drop the easier game.

We'll get 1 out of the ACC and 1 out of the SEC. Oklahoma's spot is their's to lose. If they do lose, or if Wisconsin stumbles that's probably the only way some conference gets 2 in.

I agree, ACC and SEC are pretty much guaranteed to get a spot this year with Oklahoma and Wisconsin controlling their own destiny. If both those teams win out then I think we see

ACC - Miami or Clemson
SEC - Bama or Georgia
Wisconsin
Miami

Could be interesting if say Auburn wins the SEC at 10-2 would a 12-1 Miami get in and leave the SEC out assuming they only have a close loss to Clemson in the ACC title game.

In your scenario Alabama is 11-1 with the only loss to SEC champ Auburn. The Tide would be tempting to the committee, but I still think the SEC just gets one team.

The classic trap game has happened! Pitt beats Miami, 24-14. Last night, Ole Miss beats Mississippi State, which might affect the rankings of Alabama/Auburn somewhat but not enough to adversely affect them.

Auburn wins the Iron Bowl, now the selection process will really get interesting plus Stanford beats Notre Dame

Yeah, exactly. Almost feel like I need to root for Wisconsin to win just so the B1G has a representative in the CFP. Ohio State wins and the B1G is probably toast.

Oklahoma wins and in. Clemson or Miami wins and in. Auburn or Georgia wins and in. However, if Georgia wins and Ohio St blows out Wisconsin (like 59-0), Ohio St has an okay shot at #4.

1. Clemson
2. Auburn
3. Oklahoma
4. Wisconsin
5. Alabama
6. Georgia
7. Miami
8. Ohio State
9. Penn State

So this is what we see this week. Delany is having to root for Wisconsin in secret, it seems.

ACC champion is in, loser is out
SEC champion is in, loser is out
Oklahoma wins XII and is in, loses and XII is out
Wisconsin wins B1G and is in, loses and Ohio St might be in

Scenarios (after ACC/SEC champions)...

Oklahoma wins, Wisconsin wins - both in
Oklahoma wins, Ohio St wins close - Oklahoma in, toss up between Ohio St and Alabama
Oklahoma wins, Ohio St wins blow out - both in
Wisconsin wins, TCU wins - Wisconsin and Alabama in
Ohio St wins, TCU wins - Ohio St and Alabama in

This to me will be the most interesting scenario for the committee if it happens. Of course it will depend on the games itself (close, blowouts, or other committee favorites like potential body clock issues 04-chairshot or key injuries 01-lauramac2)

But I will be curious how they treat a 11-2 conference title Ohio State who lost to OU in Columbus and got blown out by Iowa against a Oklahoma team that won in Columbus, lost to Iowa State (better loss than either ACC contenders losses), and lost to a TCU team at a neutral site whom they already beat fairly easily in Norman earlier in November.

Frankly if OU loses a very close game, I think they have a really good chance of getting in over Ohio State unless Wisconsin roles over and takes it for their mighty Big 10 overlords like they did in 2014.
