It's a decent D2 basketball program just down the road from UB a couple miles coached by a former Canisius head coach. Hard to get too much out of the result but they took us into overtime in last year's scrimmage and they seemed ready for this game again this year, so at the very least it's not a bad omen. As far as non D1 schools go they're a good fit for a tune up game.

Wasn’t he that kid from the movie The Omen? The Devil’s spawn? You’d think he would win pretty easily but commit a lot of fouls. Really nasty fouls.

Known to undercut players, set hard picks, and be a lockdown defender. not much of a scorer but when he's on, he can really catch fire.

YAY CAP! (I hate this because I work at Cap but I went to OU!) can't win!

BG spanked Capital last night by 30. According to Jason Arkley Ohio shot the ball poorly on Sunday and lost to Wright St in the closed scrimmage.

Ohio beats Capital 80-57 with 19 pts, 8 rebs from grad transfer Kevin Mickle. Freshman PG came off the bench to add 10 pts, 6 reb, 3 asst. Five players in double digits scoring. Next up the season opener at home against Alabama A&M (350 kenpom) :( on Saturday.

Kent State played well - Jaylin Walker put in 19 points in 27 minutes, Jalen Avery was in good form at point, and had 14 points including a hald-court buzzer beater at halftime. Mitch Peterson had a good game, and it looks like he'll participate more on offense. Adonis De La Rosa also was a step ahead of last year, with 15 points in 14 minutes.

I was hoping to see one of the new forwards show more - Pippen has matured a bit, freshman BJ Duling showed promise. The JUCOs Akiean Frederick and Jonathan Nwankwo might need more time to get in the mix
