How in the world can UF get their coach out the door after the Cocktail Party but the Vols still have Butch inexplicably at the helm?

Because the Gators already have their boy. The D.C. will finish out the year and after the bowls Dan Mullen will be the new Gator head man.

Well the word is they've reached a settlement. McElwain will get 4 million because of the discrepancy regarding the "death threats" and because, and pay attention because these are the operative words "of the agents ties to other candidates".

Sounds like Sexton has one of his boys waiting in the wings. Mullen is one of his boys.

Grantham is likely to be promoted from D.C. to Head Coach if Mullen leaves.

After I posed the question I heard Tennessee mentioned as a possibility. That would make sense, it's an elite SEC job that he has always wanted & it's still close to Louisville for his family. With Jurich gone I believe he would take it. McElwain to Louisville?

I hope TN knows better than to hire Petrino. We have gone through plenty of negative publicity recently and don't need more.

I don't think it will actually happen. But the AD should absolutely make the call.

I wouldn't put it past the administration. Especially if the crap out on Gruden and Chip Kelly.

That's an intriguing idea!!! Charlie Strong to Tennessee would be very interesting and he could fit there, unlike at the other UT where he was definitely a bad fit!!! I think McElwain ends up out West somewhere, probably Oregon State.
