You are not "technically" G5, you are G5 by every single imaginable metric. Not only that, you will never be a power conference and no amount of commercials, or hashtags, or helmet stickers, or threads on the CUSA board will ever change that.


The only P5 conference under twelve members didn't find a single member of the AAC to be a worthy expansion candidate, but you think CUSA message board threads are the first step to the entire conference being deemed worthy of the "Power" moniker?


A move to a P4 is exponentially more likely than a move to a P6.

Problem with your line of thinking is that they are here responding in threads that were created by G4 fanboys going on pissed off rants against the AAC.
Its not our fault that we are the 6th best conference, make more money than peanuts, have bigger budgets, bigger fan bases, have more exposure (national broadcasts), have a few OTA ABC intraconference games a year, actually win BCS/NY6 bowls, are a major basketball conference, get more love from the committee, AP, and coaches.

If your conference put just a tenth of the energy into improving your conference that you all put into trying to knock the P6 campaign.......... maybe just maybe you won't actually have to PAY a media company to broadcast your games next media deal.

the whole P5 line was drawn to make sure it was impossible for anyone to get in ever. no matter what they did. PERIOD.

think it through. do you think they went to all the trouble of creating a night/day distinction, just so they could muddy it up by letting in the riffraff they just got done excluding? it just beggars belief.

if you want to destroy the disparity, it starts with blowing up the entire conference apparatus, not strengthening it.

22divided by 6 = 3.66 AAC has 3 teams in the top 22. Power 6 fits pretty well. G4 have 0 in Gang of 4 fits pretty well.
