Something tells me this will be way less than 30 pages.

RE: Georgia State @ Texas State Thread
Well, here's how they stack up in common opponents:

GSU @ ULM 47-37 win, Game 6
TSU vs. ULM 45-27 loss, Game 6

GSU @ Coastal Carolina 27-21 win, Game 5
TSU @ Coastal Carolina 27-7 win, Game 8

That's actually it so far. I don't know what that means, but there it is.

Means nothing for us because this is a game we should obviously win and where we should obviously clinch a bowl bid... meaning...

RE: Georgia State @ Texas State Thread
The Bobcats played a close game with App State early in the year, actually out gained the Mountaineers by about 100 yards, mainly through the air. They are improved over last season and seem to be improving during this season. Our offense must improve over the Georgia Southern performance, starting with the quarterback play. Throwing to receivers with 3 or 4 people hanging on them is not going to get it done this week. Placekicking has got to be managed better. Only kick from the red zone and otherwise run plays on 4th down inside the 40.

Texas State didn't look abjectly horrible against NMSU. We need Georgia State to bring them back down to earth a little before they come to Jonesboro next weekend. A Dejected team is always far more fun to play against.

RE: Georgia State @ Texas State Thread
I think Georgia State will be fine. CSE and the players know they played a sloppy game vs GS. The practices were bad last week and it showed during the game. Players will watch their sloppiness in the game film and the staff will chew them out to light some fires under their belly. This is a redemption week for us. They will return to the GSU brand of football (no stupid penalties, sustain long drives, convert 3rd downs, win the time of possession) this week. Plus bowl eligibility is on the line this week.

TSU is Texas Southern University . . No worries, wouldn't expect the casual fan outside the region to know the difference . . . .

When last we changed our name, we agreed (with TSU) that we would not use that moniker in reference to ourselves, as they were already using it . . Hence the "TXST" when referring to Texas State . .

Don't watch for anyone.
Nobody is exciting.
Nothing to worry about.

Just overlook us completely please, you have a big game vs. App in 3 weeks. Start preparing for them. They were the preseason favorites after all.

Their QB is pretty good iirc. Has to be a senior by now.

RE: Georgia State @ Texas State Thread
You're probably thinking of Tyler Jones, who graduated after last season.

We've played Grad Transfer from Mississippi State, Damian Williams, about 80% of the snaps this year with true freshman Willie Jones III taking the other 20%. We're wondering if now that we've lost our 7th game and no longer have bowl eligibility if Willie starts getting more snaps to get him ready for 2018. Guess we'll see on Saturday.
