OK. So I don't like the way the scheduler schedules. I have written about this several times and think it holds back the program in football. But IMO we also are screwing up the basketball schedules as well.

Here is an example. Our first mens basketball regular season game is Friday, November 10 at noon. So what seems to be the problem with that?

Well, just look at it. We play Lamar on a Friday which is a school day. Its at noon when school is in session, so the students probably will be busy with classes or study time and a lot of the campus will not have parking available to the general public. The game will not be televised, so we won't get that money and most of the adults will be at work unable to attend. So what is the advantage of scheduling this game on that day at that time? Someone please explain why this game on that date and at that time benefits us in any way? We are playing a nothing game against a nothing team at a nothing time and probably making no money.

So again, why not just replace the idiot that scheduled this game on this date?

So is anyone going to see us play this game? Will it give us a crowd advantage? Will the players be fired up because the stands will be full and their family and student friends attending?

And did that powerhouse program, Lamar, decide the time "they" would play? If so, thats another reason to replace the scheduler.
