I did watch Troy and AppSt this past week, and while Troy is better neither team is very good. I said they were trending toward being bad, but I was being nice.

A-State is just a good football team, in every area, trending toward being very good. They could be outstanding, but that will probably come next year.

Troy may not be that good right now, but they're a 2 loss team that's getting a little better each week. Talent vs talent...we'll be ok.

First my comment about being nice in using trending was directed at AppSt, Troy is not a bad team.

You guys keep on clinging to the idea that what they do in the OOC has anything to do with what they will do in the SBC. You would think by now you would know better.

Troys problem is they are not a good team either, but in-between good and bad,and really don't have the overall talent/depth to be a good one.

The other problem for Troy, and all the other SBC teams, is A-State is just a much more talented team than any SBC team, and it is hard to contain that talent for four quarters.

Since Anderson started calling plays, coaching QB's, and co-coordinating the offense, the coaching gap between them and the better SBC staffs went away. Well almost.

No just not a fan, so I don't have to set aside reality because I don't like it.

It is a FACT A-State has the most talented roster of players in the SBC to cobble a team out of. Does not matter if they like it or you like it, it just is what it is.

Barring a lot of injuries they will be favored in every SBC game. Does not matter if they like it or you like it, it just is what it is.

I also know for a fact they have lost some SBC games under Anderson that they were favored in, and should have won easily, and took that is to consideration when I predicted they would lose a game, maybe two.

Problem is they changed things on me, and Anderson is not doing what he has done in the past. Well excuse me! Might be wrong about them suffering a loss in SBC play.

TF05's input: Troy is a really good team, but not great. I would not put them in the "bad to good" range. Outside of USA where the players where "full of themselves", the team has played relatively well. We're not great offensively, but being 11th in scoring defense will keep us from losing games we shouldn't. We're 7-2 not because we're lucky, but because Vic Koenning is a beast. That keeps us out of the "bad to good" category and puts us in the "good to great" category. We're moving in that direction.

The reason I'm giving Troy a hard time is that I know for a fact, that A-State under Anderson does not lose to the better SBC teams. He only gets beat by the lesser SBC teams, and heaven help those teams that embarrassed ole Blake by beating him.

USA, ULM ot TxSt just better fit the profile of the type of SBC teams that have beaten A-State under Anderson, than Troy.

That is why everyone knew for a fact that how Blake Anderson approached those games was the problem, and probably helped them to decide what steps needed to be taken to fix the problem.

Almost all of his posts in some shape or form are about StAte athletics. And they're not all "hate" posts about StAte, so he must not hate StAte that much.

I don't dislike A-State, just not a fan.

I have given the reasons for my interest in post over the last several years, which center around rating talent, but I did not do the ratings, but not any more.

This year I'm using old data, and filling in with ratings from 247.

If the numbers said ULM had the best roster of talent in the SBC that is what I would say.

I now keep up with the other state colleges and universities in Arkansas for the largest Razorback site.

They are the only other FBS school in Arkansas, I live 7 miles from their stadium-- but have not attended a game in 13-14 years, so there is more info about them.

They still have the best talent in the SBC ,and will be favored to beat every SBC team this year and that will almost certainly be the case next year.

For some reason people don't like the fact that is a fact, but life is like that. I could make up something, but that would make me like a fan.

Mainly he slams Anderson. If you want to issue a password to the internet to all of us except him you would probably be a hero to the stAte fans that reads this board and Astate Nation.

Guys...this is a cool place to hang out, and some pretty cool people are here. I love Troy Football. I've missed maybe two home games since 2005. But for the life of me, I don't understand how anyone can get frustrated over message board antics. Troy Football is pretty high up on my food chain, but I just can't get feeling insulted because someone tells you your team sucks. And if someone insults me personally, who gives a ****.

This biggest lesson I learned (from Gary Veynerchuck might I add), is that what other people think of you matters zip, and it's a huge waste of time and energy to worry about it. It's just a losing strategy. I love watching other people get frustrated when I don't respond to their trolls and baits. Let people play their game and move on.
