Miami OH Field Hockey team wins NCAA Tourney Play In Game
A sport rarely discussed in this forum but certainly worthy in this case. Only 14 teams get tourney invites plus 4 that get play in game invites. Miami downed Stanford 2-1 and moves on to play Duke is round 2. Congrats to the Red Hawks.

Field hockey team has been real solid the past few years. Even if this was supposedly a down year for Stanford they're still a field hockey power (from what I've read) so it's great to see us move on. We lost 2-0 to Duke not too long ago so another crack might be all it takes.

The only sport less known in the upper midwest than field hockey is probably water polo. Both are cool sports.
