RE: 2017-2018 Basketball Season
Well dang! We’d a been better off getting the #6 seed rather than #5. I don’t particularly like our chances at beating Campbell. They have our number this year. And if we do win we gotta play Ashville again. I know we can beat both those teams. But I just don’t know which LU team will show up on a given night.

Does our season end Thu?
Can we get 20 wins?
Will we play in a post season tourny?

I am guessing...
Yes
No
No

But I am really hoping to be surprised but not shocked.

Not as good of a season as I wanted but still a good year. It was nice winning in Rock Hill and Asheville. It was also nice to beat Wake. A lot of good things happened we just need to be more consistent.

Tonight's the night. I have a really good feeling about it. My X-factor has to be Cabbill's health. If he is himself, he takes offensive pressure off Cuffee, who I want to focus his energy guarding the 3 point line.

Great win! Like I said this year we have been inconsistent but it feels good to win a game in the BSC tourney.

Next up, UNC Asheville. Need to keep winning if we want to make the postseason. Great win last night!

Do you think a win today and a loss in the BSC championship game would be enough to get in a tourney?

We need to win the conference tournament to make the NCAA tournament. There will be no at-large bid for us.

We’re good enough now to get into a tournament. We have some pretty good wins combined with a 20 win season. It’d be great to make the NIT if we don’t make the NCAA.

If we win the BSC what seed do we get for the Big Dance?

I don't think we'd get higher than a 14 seed in the NCAA. I'd also think that we'd get in the CBI or CIT.

I was referring to any tourney (mostly was asking about the lower level ones like last year). I think the big dance we are looking at a 15.

RE: 2017-2018 Basketball Season
UNC Asheville will get an NIT bid as the regular season champ who didn't win their conference tournament. That doesn't mean we can't also get one but I think it is unlikely. We probably get into the same tournament as last year if we lose tomorrow.

You're probably right. I saw on ASOR's Twitter feed, they were leaning towards being apart of the "First Four" nonsense games if we win and nothing dramatic happens with the other low mid-majors.

Very disappointing season!!!! Liberty was predicted to finish 3rd (Finished 8th, but because of the tiebreakers they finished 5th). Please no stupid not NIT tournaments!!!! That team doesn't deserve to be going anywhere!!!! Hopefully we will be in a more than ond bid league like the Big East in the future!!!! Please let it be as soon as possible!!!!

RE: 2017-2018 Basketball Season
Yes, it was a partly disappointing regular season. It was a great BSC tournament run for LU, based off recent history. It’s another 20 win aeason. I DO hope we take some kind of post season tourny bid if offered. More experience is always a good thing.

RE: 2017-2018 Basketball Season
I like the direction of the basketball team much better than the football team. We had an okay season with some ups and downs and should have done better but nearly overcame our mistakes to reach the tournament anyways. Unfortunately, we couldn't pull it out and now we have to settle for something like the CBI or CIT.

Well, that was an impressive win. Down two starters, good defensive showing, well played by us, and won comfortably. I liked it. Let’s win another one.

I agree. We did well and I hope we make a deeper run than last year.

Side question: What's the difference between the CBI and CIT tournaments? Is one better than the other?
