Picked up Sunday's Press Register and read in the sports pages once again that some jaguars whipped up on a pack of red wolves. I actually witnessed it take place, but reading about once more just made my day. Also read that Bama, Auburn, Troy and UAB also won. Life is good, yes it is. 24-19, how 'bout dem Jags?

Jags suck. You got lucky this year. We still have the best QB in the league. Karl paid the refs off. Our center was hurt.

Did I miss anything?

You missed coming out "flat". That's usually the go to excuse when we beat people.

I agree, Hansen was our player of the game.

RE: stAte-South Al game thread
Best post game discussion I've seen in a long time. I tend to agree that our offensive line (or SA's defensive line) was more a factor than Hansen's play. On the flip side, I was surprised we didn't get more sacks on Garvin. He got hit A LOT and still stood in there. Credit goes to him.

First, two of Hansen's 4 interceptions weren't his fault. They were tipped balls (by stAte receivers) and SA made athletic plays to catch them.
Our best receiver dropped the ball going over the goaline for the go-ahead score.
On the next play, Hansen fumbled inches before going over the goaline for the go-ahead score.
....Sometimes it just isn't your day.
We still had a chance to win the game after the fifth turnover, but couldn't do it. I dont know what that says about either team.

Odd game. We turned it over 6 times. Played like crap in general for 4 quarters, and still came within essentially 1 yard of a win given South's offensive struggles.

For AState there was some good, more bad, and a lot of shooting ourselves in the foot with a shotgun over and over again while smiling and saying "This is fine" before each shot.

As far as the good, that game speaks volumes about your talent level.

USA is a talented team, and I though you would have had to play better than you did at NMSU--another subpar performance, to beat them at their place.

Your program certainly has some major issues, but it is in great shape in the talent department.

Really rather simple , just need to get the talent ready to play every game. Apparently that part is not simple.
