RE: CFP Rankings - Week 3 (11/14/17)

However, if Alabama were to lose to Auburn by a couple points (especially in overtime), then I'd say the SEC Champ, Alabama, undefeated Miami or 1-loss Clemson, undefeated Wisconsin
I think they'd take a very strong non-champ like Alabama if there were flawed champs. I don't think a 12-1 Clemson, a 12-1 OU or 13-0 Wiscy have a flawed enough resume to be behind an 11-1 non-champ Alabama. Wiscy would be undefeated and OU would have several quality wins, including a win at Ohio State in nonconference. Same with Clemson and it's win over Auburn.
They'd be ahead of pretty much any 2 loss champ. And maybe some theoretical one loss champs with weak resumes. But not a 1 loss champ with a strong resume.

it's definitely setting up for if form holds
Sugar Bowl- Alabama vs Wisconsin
Rose Bowl- Clemson/Miami vs Oklahoma
Where things get interesting is if Wisconsin or Oklahoma loses. opens the door for Miami if they lose close to Clemson, or Ohio St, or maybe even Notre Dame.

I don't know, man. Lots of room for chaos still. #3 Miami (undefeated) is just three spots ahead of #6 Auburn (two losses). #5 Wisconsin (undefeated) might get jumped this week if they lose to #24 Michigan (two losses). It's truly amazing this new system.
Back in the old days...our rankings would have looked like this...based solely on losses...
1. Alabama
2. Miami
3. Wisconsin (end of undefeated teams)
4. Clemson
5. OU
6. Georgia (end of 1 loss teams)
7. UCF (undefeated mid-major)
8. Auburn
9. Ohio State
10. Notre Dame
11. USC
12. PSU
13. TCU
14. Oklahoma State
15. Michigan
16. Washington St.
17. Washington (end of 2-loss teams)
18. Memphis (1-loss mid-major)
19. beginning of 3-loss teams...

Bama vs. Wisconsin might be the quickest game in the history of college football (ok a bit of exaggeration) but neither of those coaches are particularly interested in pushing much of a pace on offense.
