That is pretty much the market rate for the Top Young Hotshot Prospect on the market in 2017. I do smell a sport agent though in this report
7 years is a really long contract for a coach who only has 2 years of HC experience. I'd expect no more than 5 years at $5MM per year or less.

Nebraska is a career killing job. That said, if you get offered $35 million, you take it. With that much money it doesn't matter if you fail and never coach again because you're set for life. So it's really up to Frost about whether he wants to take the money and then be fired in 3-4 years from Nebraska or wants to build a legacy at UCF over decades.

How is Nebraska a career killing job?

I don't take joy in it. I would love to see our conference hang onto our coaches. We have had some really good ones in our short history. Keeping our coaches would only make our conference stronger.

You ought to go back and read the circle jerk among fans on your board when Taggart got the Oregon job. People in glass houses...

I do think Frost is gone. I think he would have signed an extension for $3.5 per year if he was planning on hanging around. Someone will pay over him $5 million per year and even with state income (in other states) it still makes sense to take the money.
Good news....We can pay the next coach around $2 million so there won't be a lack of good candidates. Plus I'm assuming we will get a few million from the buyout.

Sorry if that came across as a specific indictment of you. I took your "everyone on here" at face value, and pointed out that "everyone from UCF" was celebrating the loss of Taggart. People shouldn't paint with broad brushes... (and yes, I'm including me in that last line)
