Our run defense has been better than our pass defense this season. Even though we've played them twice before in the past 13 months I suppose we still didn't have time in one week to do a lot of preparation. We switched from our standard 3-3-5 to a more traditional 3-4 for this game. It didn't seem to help much. We had lots of blown assignments.

It was a great outing by our offense. Mason Fine showed why he still has to be considered among the best QB's in C-USA this season. Over 350 yards and 4 TD's tonight.

The defense has been an issue all season. Yes, Army's offensive scheme will pile up big yardage, but no respectable defense should allow over 500 yards rushing. Believe me, I am not happy with our defensive coaches or their bush-league defensive system tonight.

I hate to say it, but Army has some dirty players. #8 is a dirt bag. I see why our athletic department canceled the rest of our scheduled series. Glad we won't be playing them in a bowl this season, or in our future OOC schedule.

Ha! Not saying it is a sealed deal, but reps from the Independence Bowl were enjoying our game at Apogee tonight.



We will not be accepting an invitation to the Armed Forces Bowl. The HOD verses either the BIG10 or BIG12 would be ideal, but if the Independence Bowl asked us to fill in against an ACC or SEC team, that would be great too.

The Army game was more or less how I was expecting the first FAU game to go down. One team unable to unable to stop the pass, the other the run. Whoever has the ball last wins.

Obviously nothing went according to plan. Everyone seemed to panic once we got down early. Hopefully what ever needs to be fixed is addressed, and we have a competitive game in a couple weeks.
