He has done a good job. He is probably ready to get back in the p6 ranks.

Kiffen is coach at FAU, not FIU. This is like me saying Coach Strong at UCF or Coach Frost at Nebraska.

Nobody is interested in Lane Kiffin? We have some teams below .500. He turned around FIU's program that has been struggling.

Never heard of this Kiffen guy.

I know Kiffin coaches 2 different FAIU teams.

He’s too unstable, IMHO. If he stays at FAU for a few years, does well with W/L and avoids drama off the field, then I’ll change my mind.

If Jimbo goes to TAMU all bets are off.

No thanks, but I'd take FIU's Butch Davis just for the recruiting he'd do.

How much it is Lane and how much of it is Little Briles? Both Kiffin and Briles come with a lot of baggage---but I have a feeling that Briles is the one that might be the real difference maker (if you can deal with the heat).

Feel like I need to explain... UCF fans often switch F_U on purpose.

We had to deal with people mixing up UCF and USF... so feel it’s FIU/FAU’s turn to go through the same kind of perception difficulties.

As far as Lane Kiftin goes, I just want him out of our state. Although I am happy he hired UCF alum Kevin Smith.

What about ECU bringing in Butch Jones? It ended badly at Tennessee but he has had a lot of success.

Didn't Navy blow the doors off of FAU? Has FAU defeated anyone outside of the FCS/CUSA?

CUSA may end up with 10 bowl teams. Lots of 5 and 6 win teams there. Scheduling a bit more realistically this year in OOC probably helped a lot of CUSA schools. Charlotte, UTEP, and Rice combining to provide 19 easy conference wins to the middle of the conference also helped some of the CUSA middle get over the bowl hump this year. Finally, having a thinner top (out of 14 schools, only 2 teams had 1 or less conference losses) also helped spread the wins around to more schools. Only 4 teams have 2 or less losses and only 3 teams have less than 3 conference wins. Basically, you have tremendous parity in CUSA this year.

FAU is going to be in NCAA or legal trouble soon, probably both. He recruited a bunch of kids off of the last chance U team.

He was calling kids in the quiet period, but compared to Louisville it seems so minor. You're not cheating good enough if your not buying prostitutes.

Whoever hires Kiffin should hire Pitino and Person as well. Any publicity is good publicity. Right?
