RE: Question for Herd fans
I can't fully speak for everyone. But just reading the general pulse of the Herd fanbase here, on Herd Nation and otherwise reveals a couple points.

- OC Bill Legg needs to go. Some are protesting this.

- People are miffed at Mike Hamrick. His words have created a tension amongst who is a "true Herd fan." Hint :If you're not a big money donor, your not a fan.

- Some people walked away last year.

- Others are sore after buying into this team, the D, and it's subsequent fall.

RE: Question for Herd fans
Legg has to go. I'm mad that they even let him ride the team plane back to Huntington.

I was already on the fence with Doc, but the fact he didn't fire Legg after last season is reason enough for me to say its time for him and his 1 conference championship in 8 years to go.

Hamrick has said a lot of stupid things, and I am frustrated with him, BUT, he has at the very least built a lot of nice facilities during his time at Marshall. These things will pay dividends for years to come. He's also done a good job of scheduling imo. BUT, if he can't make the tough decision of firing Doc then he too has to go. Afterall, it was him who gave the contract extension anyways.

I like our new president Dr. Gilbert so far. He has had time to get settled in now. If no changes are made with the football team, then Dr. Gilbert needs to step in and fire Hamrick and get an AD who will find a competent coaching staff. If Dr. Gilbert does nothing, then he too needs to go.

Sorry, but thats how I see it.

If get got a new OC, depending on who it was, I would be willing to give 2018 a chance.

Whiny ass fans who forgot the team win 30 games in 3 years because there was a fluke season last year and now that the team could win 8 they’re pissy it wasn’t 9 games even though those same fans were crying that we wouldn’t win 3 games this year even though people like myself laughed at them knowing 7 or 8 would be easy and hoping for 9 or 10 and a conf championship.

Lol. 30 games against whom? No one, that's who. And 2 of those years included Cato, Shuler, and Johnson. We've regressed since Litton's first year. We're going backward not forward. Do you enjoy watching Nehlan ball on the field? Even if we won every game this year it's like watching paint dry. There is zero excitement in this offense. There is no swagger in the team. There is zero faith in any comeback situation. If the game comes down to a coaching call, then we get to see Doc "Deer in Headlights" Holliday make the same mistakes he has made for 8 years.

Our offense is just as bad if not worse than last year. The defense and special teams have saved our asses this year. Did you enjoy blowing out WKU only to have Doc/Legg start sitting on the lead AGAIN and let them right back into it? Every damn game we've done this. Legg can't get a big enough lead for us to start sitting on it. It's a total cluster**** in the Shewey building.

If it's all about win totals then we should be able to beat any team with 6 or less wins. Funny that we've lost to 3 of them this year alone, that we've had more wins than. That's how asinine the 30 win argument is. Win totals don't matter when you look at how they come and who they come against. 1 CUSA Championship in EIGHT years. Program's a joke.

RE: Question for Herd fans
1960's/70's style of offense, i.e. 1.9yds run up middle, 1.9yds. run up middle, throw 2 yd. pass or hail mary hoping for defensive mistake is all MU football fans have seen for the last 13 yrs., 'cept 3 w/ Cato in the middle. Win, lose or draw, CFB is above all entertainment, vying for entertainment dollars against more things than ever. And this style of football is NOT entertaining. Boooor-ing.

Most of the teams in this conference never heard Houston, UCF, Louisville, and ECU (well ECU for a year, but they left tail tucked, you're welcome) say or do anything. So not only a troll, but an ignorant troll. Win the conference 5 out of 6 years after dealing with MAC fans telling us we couldn't compete at their level because we were lowly FCS, despite two recent National Titles under our belt, and see if you aren't tempted to rub it in a little. That's all that was ever about. The MAC had 1 bowl and almost no TV till we elevated that conference and got ESPN interested in the MAC. They'll never admit it and they have selective memory from 1997 to 2002. Says something when they only remember the few times they beat us. We won our division every one of those years and lost one championship in 2001 to a very good Toledo team.

There are a few Herd fans that still crow like it was those days, but no more than anyone else. And, like I said, it wasn't crowing about how good we were, it was giving back to the MAC all the garbage they spewed towards us when we rejoined in '97.

RE: Question for Herd fans
You have to have a QB. When Marshall was winning in the MAC they had guys like Leftwich and Pennington. Recently when they won a lot they had Cato. Without a QB, not so much. Same as for most other teams.

NIU had the same thing. Chandler Harnish's last 2 years plus Jordan Lynch's 2 years we won tons of games. Since then, we've been hanging on for dear life trying to find another good QB.

Good behavior or the correct meds and they let you post once a year or every other year?
