Exactly...He said he was F'ed because of the independent council being appointed what happened to other POTUS's in that situation. Nothing in that admits any guilt of wrong doing..what so ever.

Ironically....It seems that appointing Mueller may well be the best thing that could have happened to this POTUS. It now puts the Dems. in a very bad spot. They did everything they could to prop up what is now pretty much a nothingburger. Trumps base is now pretty much untouchable in the next election. All Trump has to do is manage to pull in a few independent voters that like the economy. He should hammer the hell out of his economic record all the way to election day.

Sounds to me like he wanted to end the investigation and take control of the Justice Department and his lawyers kept him in check to act within the confines of the law and avoid of a perceived conflict of interest. Isn't that how the system is supposed to work? Is that not the purpose of White House Council? He wanted to fire Mueller and have Sessions unrecuse himself and then wanted to fire Sessions... but under the advice of his council, he didn't.
