This is probably the attendance reported to the NCAA. So it is the real attendance. I know more than one person who bought tickets to the Camellia Bowl but for whatever reason could not go. They counted just as much as the guy in row 12 seat 8.

Sorry Lime, I didn’t have the time nor the resources to attend each game and count each head through the gates so we’ll just have to go off the numbers posted via ESPN. If you have a more precise head count, feel free to share those numbers with the class and I’ll be glad to recalculate.

Arizona Bowl had 39000+ and there was 39000 there. I was in attendance. Interesting that the bowl game NMSU played in had the best attendance of any bowl game for both the Sun Belt AND the mighty Mountain West Conference. Oh yeah, and Karl Benson is a douchebag.

If the Sun Belt were to ever move to a 12-team league and needed 1 team in the East and 1 team in the West, I'd definitely be up for adding NMSU. The only thing is their football would have to be doing good and their basketball/other sports would need to leave the WAC and join the Sun Belt.

I'm sorry that the rest of us haven't had nearly six decades to get excited for a bowl.
