RE: WBB:Lady Techsters get win #1,100
Congrats to the Lady Techsters, who did you guys pass?

As a side note, that means Geno has all but about 100 of UCONN's wins. Hell he'll get to 1,100 by 2021.

At this rate, if he coaches another ten years(maybe even a year or two less) he'll be able to retire with more wins personally, than any other program has total.

Gotcha.

Pointing to #2 all time for some reason read as a new accomplishment.

A milestone win for sure.

Made me curious so I googled it.

Coming into this season ODU women at 7 and Western women at 10. So 3 out of top 10 all time wins in this conference.

Alcorn State. 87-50 final. 52-19 at halftime I believe, just a win where you coast the second half.

The Lady Techsters are to be commended for their long and storied history in womens college basketball. They, along with a number of other small rural schools like Delta State, Stephen F Austin, etc, introduced the sport to the college scene. They ruled the roost until schools at the state university level saw the potential, started their programs, and then the smaller ones like Tech began to take a back seat. It was good while it lasted.

La Tech is and has been one of about ten universities established in Louisiana on a regional basis humpteen hundred years ago. Call them what you like. All of the original founders of womens college basketball have faded away like Tech giving way to the biggies.

Your alleged alma mater is a regional school as indicated by its name.

ODU was the fourth D1 program to notch 1000 victories when they did it in Dec. 2015.

So, we shouldn't be far from 1100. But with the depleted roster we were left by Karen Barefoot it may take longer than expected to get there.
