ESPN3 Sky Cam
Who watches football this way?
If you don't know what I'm talking about on espn3 a lot of P5 games (big games) have a link to watch the game through the Sky Cam.
To me you can't watch a game on TV any better than this. You don't get the talking heads. You do get the sound of the fans and the sound of pads on pads.
The Wis vs Miami game is on tonight. The view they show is from in the pocket and the QB POV. It's almost like being on the field.
If you get a chance watch some of this game...it's like being at the game, field level, in the pocket

Yeah watched a few in the past and while having no sound and no scorecard etc is a bummer the view is absolutely fantastic and sure beats the hell outta sitting in the end zone and watching the game.

This game has the scoreboard and sound, players on the field and fans...just not talking heads

I like it. Also thought it was a good way for the CUSA schools to add a professional camera broadcast capability. One HD camera picking up all the game sounds, pipe in the radio feed, and CUSA.tv just became worlds better.

Fans singing the praises of watching a game online/HDTV. Prime example of why attendance is down in most sports (if not all sports) and why most venues need to focus on QUALITY of fan experience instead of QUANTITY of fans.
I say most venues and not all because the "football factory" programs like Mich, Bama, ND, OSU and "basketball blue blood" programs like sUcK, Duke, UNC and KU usually don't have the same attendance issues most other programs have.
