RE: CFP payouts for this year
So the numbers breaks down (this assumes conference takes a team share for themselves)

B1G: $89.5m = $5.97m per school
ACC: $87.5m = $5.83m per school
B12: $60m = $5.45m per school
P12: $62m = $4.77m per school
SEC: $70m = $4.66m per school
Notre Dame = $2.65m

group of 5 splits $81.32, mostly equally (62 schools) or about $1.22m per school (after taking a conference share).
AAC gets $4m bonus for UCF, which is an extra $307K per school.

Indies Army, UMass and BYU get $309, 501 each. (that sucks)

FC splits $2.53m, which depending on who and how (scholarships?) they count is at least 100 schools, which after confernce cuts is somewhere between $20-24K per school.

Notre Dame had some weak negotiating skills that go around.

So in summary does anyone know how much each AAC conference school like SMU gets from the playoffs and bowl games and how much from the TV contract annually? I flunked math.

You don't need to know math. Peanuts.

For ND, it's more sink or swim. If they make an NY6 bowl, like they did two years ago, they keep the full $4 million ($13 million if the Orange Bowl), but otherwise they get only their base $2.65m.

So two years ago, when ND played the Fiesta Bowl, they got $6.65m, more than any school has ever gotten from the CFP. But in the other three years, $2.65m.

Close to 2Million is the short answer.

This is a best guess and the last details were when the G5 paid each conference 1mill per team up to 12 Million but they changed it to 10 Mill and add more to the performance base. Think it was something like 4M for best G5, which is the AAC, then 3.5M,3M, 2.5M and 2 mill.

Say the above is still true or at least close.
10Mill for conference for teams
3.6 Mill for APR- will assume SMU got the APR
6 Mill best conference*
4 Mill for Peach bowl and don't know how that is split with UCF and the conference
-------------
23.6 M or 1.96 per team, but think Navy would not get the full amount and don't know about the Peach bowl.

*The performance base could be higher like 6,5.5,5,4.5, and 4 Million or to come up with the 10M (10 Mill verses 12 Mill for 1M per team up to 12 teamd reduced up to 10 teams.)

Thanks Steve. Could you tell me if those figures include what the conference gets each year from the multi-year TV contract for regular season games? Thanks again

Just CFP money, no media, no NCAA credits, etc
