AAC NCAA tournament bids. How many?
Switching gears here for a minute to talk basketball. Is 4 bids a good bet for the tourn.

ESPN has 4 AAC bids in their latest bracketology.

http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketb...acketology

Andy Katz has 4 AAC teams in tourn, and if I read his power 36 correctly, he would have Cincinnati and Wichita as 4 seeds (seems low), and Houston and SMU as 8 seeds.

4 is our floor, I believe.

May sneak a 5th, so betwen 4-5 bids is realistic (and fantastic).

Yes, I personally think we would get 5, but the committee has disrespected AAC in the past. Will that continue?

Cincinnati and Wichita, and Houston and SMU
seem like comfortably picks now

ucf/temple still have a great chance but have to win some games

Cincy, WSU, & SMU are comfortably in as of right now.

I think Houston is also in right now but they have a little to be nervous about.

UCF & Temple have work to do but can make it with a good showing in conference play.

Wichita, Cincinnati and SMU.

Bubble team
Houston

UCF is a darn solid NIT team. The rest of the league is hot garbage this year and ECU and USF should drop basketball.

Correct answer.

That Drexel loss may come back to haunt Houston unfortunately.

Yep, USF is hot garbage, no argument there. However, believe it or not, slight progress and improvement is being made under new coach Brian Gregory, however slight that may be.

Need to get 4 and have a couple of teams get to Sweet 16. We need to get our tournament money going.

Hopefully USF under Gregory follows a similar path to Tulane under Dunleavy. 04-cheers

Now we just need ECU to hire a competent coach and start the process.

RE: AAC NCAA tournament bids. How many?
An interesting side note: Had WSU not joined this conference the AAC would be looking at 2 bids again and praying for 3. With the strength of WSU in the league the AAC is looking at 3-4 and praying for 5. WSU is worth 1.75-2 NCAA bids at their current stature.
