College Football Playoff Payouts By Conference for 2017-2018
Here is the link:

BigTen 89.5 Mill
ACC 87.5 Mill
SEC 70 Mill
PAC12 62 Mill
Big12 60 Mill

Group of 5 81.32 Mill plus UCF earned 4 Mill for the AAC, Peach Bowl birth
Quote:The so-called "Group of 5" (the American Athletic Conference, Conference USA, Mid-American Conference, Mountain West Conference and Sun Belt Conference) divide their pool each year pursuant to an agreement and formula devised by those conferences. Although that formula has not been formally disclosed to the public, reports have the majority shared equally, with a small portion set aside to be distributed based on performance.
Think it's 10 mill per conference, the 300k APR for each team in the conference and then the last bit is rankings. It use to be up to 12 mill per team, but it was changed to add more in the performance based pool.

Have a comment regarding independent portion as more universities will be splitting the pot.

Should Notre Dame be treated like BYU and everyone else. Especially since they could be in a P5/ACC.

(Yes, was rooting for the underdog, LSU.)

Quote:Notre Dame

Notre Dame receives $2.65 million as a base amount, regardless of whether the Fighting Irish play in a bowl associated with the College Football Playoff.

Independents

The other three independents (Army, BYU and Massachusetts) share a collective pool of $928,503.

FCS

FCS conferences that provide the full NCAA-allowable complement of scholarships receive $2.53 million as a collective pool, which includes the Big Sky, Big South, Colonial, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Ohio Valley, Southern, Southland, and SWAC.

Those FCS conferences received a similar amount during the BCS era.

How about not giving the FCS guys any and making the Indy pot more since NMSU and Liberty will be added next year.

FCS pot should be bigger, since they are the difference in allowing a number of teams to earn bowl berths...

Indy pot should be bigger, but should come from upstream.
