BYU could be a Top5 team this season. If they knock off #9 Baylor next week, you look at this game in a different light. I like BYU's chances to run the table.
As long as Jeff Scott doesn't lose the locker room, they could turn it around in conference play.
If USF loses to Howard, then we know they are awful and should probably fire Jeff Scott
Agree. I think BYU might be better than most people thought. We will find out this week when they play Baylor.
Regarding USF, I also agree losing to Howard would get Scott fired. I don’t see that happening. Like I said before USF is a returning 2-10 team with a bad defense with completely new DLine all unproven with new DC and OC, they were really overmatched by BYU and you saw that from the first play.
Would have helped USF if the Out of Conference schedule would had been

@ Louisville
BYU
@ Florida
More likely we start 1-3 as most expected.
I’m really looking to see how they bounce back vs Howard, a team they should handle easily
@ Florida will be a lost but hopefully we look better than we did vs BYU with two games under our belt
@ Louisville, good chance UL comes in 0-3 to this game, they have more talent than USF and playing at home, but hopefully we make them sweat and with some luck shock them
The old tried and true bUt wE'rE iN a BiG mArKeT wItH a LoT of EnTeRtIaInMeNt OpTiOnS. I bet at LEAT half of ECU's crowd drives from Raleigh, Charlotte, Richmond and Hampton Roads. Personally speaking I drive 3.5 hours. You've probably got enough USF grads in Tampa alone to fill that stadium a couple of times.
